Most of the animals died before and the team flew in specifically to dissect them. In the first few episodes they had the animals brought to the Royal Veterinary College. In the case of the python and the camel, they specifically killed the animals for the show, since they are invasive species and it is currently legal to hunt them because of it.

As for watching them in the US, quite a few of the episodes were on Youtube, but I haven’t looked recently. Some episodes I was able to get through torrents, and I’ve posted a link to where you can stream the thoroughbred episode online. If you can change your ip address through a program like TunnelBear eight of the episodes are on 4OD. I haven’t tried any proxys since I’ve been dealing with OpenDNS where I rent from. :(

In case anyone wasn’t aware (I wasn’t until recently) National Geographic channel has picked up four episodes of ING. What they have to say about them:
